| American Rag Print Design Sweepstakes Official Rules – No Purchase Necessary TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The “American Rag Print Design Contest” (“Contest”) sponsored by Macy’s (“Sponsor”) begins at 12:01 am Eastern Time (“ET”) on 9/25/07, ends at 11:59 pm ET on 12/15/07, and is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. Contestants must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of entry, as confirmed by valid government-issued photograph ID. To enter, visit www.AmericanRagCampus.com to find the online entry form. Complete all of the requested information and follow the instructions to create and upload a print entry of your uniquely designed t-shirt print on a male and/or female template at www.AmericanRagCampus.com. Online entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. Entry may not include any copyrighted material including but not limited to images or copy, nor may entry include any profanity, nudity, illegal or immoral conduct or material deemed offensive by the judges. Entry must be the sole original work of the contestant. Any individuals who appear in the imagery on your print, must give written permission for the use of their image if their face is shown. All submissions become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor will maintain rights to all content of all entry submissions, and will maintain the right to feature submitted artwork on any and all Sponsor merchandise sold and distributed at Sponsor retail locations and online sites. Sponsor reserves the right to alter the submitted artwork and shirt template based on Sponsor’s production needs. Submitted artwork is not guaranteed to be feature or produced as originally submitted. JUDGING: Entries will be presented online for public voting at www.AmericanRagCampus.com between 9/25/07 and 12/15/07 to measure public appeal. A panel of industry marketing experts will select the potential winners for the male and female templates by 2/1/08 based on the following criteria: public appeal (20%), creativity (32%), originality (32%) and appropriateness to Theme (16%). PRIZE: (“ARV”) Male Template Grand Prize (1): Macy’s Gift Cards ($1000 ARV each); Female Template Grand Prize (1): Macy’s Gift Cards ($1000 ARV each); Total value of all prizes: $2000. WINNER SELECTION AND VALIDATION: Potential winners will be determined on or about 2/1/08 by a panel of qualified judges under the supervision of RepNation Media LLC, an independent judging agency whose decisions are final on all aspects of the Contest. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaking essay question will be posed to the tied contestants. The tie-breaking questions will be “Tell us in 100 words or less why your print design should be featured at American Rag.” The same panel of judges will judge the submitted essays based on the following criteria: creativity (35%), originality (35%), appropriateness to Theme (20%), and grammar (10%). Potential winners will be notified by certified mail/return receipt requested and required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release and Copyright Assignment. Affidavit must be returned, executed by the winner without any changes, within fourteen (14) days of the date on the notification or the potential winner may be disqualified and a runner-up winner will be selected. In the event that any one entry is created and/or submitted by more than one person, the prize will only be awarded to the person named on the online entry form. If a prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable, that potential winner will be ineligible and a runner-up will be selected. Runner-up winners are subject to the eligibility requirements of these rules. You are not a certified winner until validated and you receive official notification from the judging organization. GENERAL TERMS: Employees and members of their immediate families (defined as spouses, siblings, parents and children) and households (whether or not related) of Macys, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, electronic media firm, RepNation Media LLC, and anyone involved in the production, development or handling of this Contest are not eligible. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete or illegible entries or Internet technical, hardware, software, telephone, or transmission failures of any kind, which may limit a person’s ability to enter the Contest. Any legal proceedings arising out of this Contest or relating to these rules shall be instituted only in the federal or state courts located in the State of New York, and the parties consent to jurisdiction therein with respect to any legal proceedings or disputes of whatever nature arising under or relating to these rules. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these rules shall otherwise remain in effect and be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
